Feature, Miami and Smoking Airports

Travelers are going to love this one. Welcome to summer, and hope you all have some adventures on your horizons.

For those traveling Stateside, news just came in that the TGI Fridays at Miami International Airport now has a smoking section. Miami airport sees some of the most travelers in the US every year, and the new smoking section has already been a huge success. Awesome! Even better, there are unique craft beers that you can only drink if you are in the smoking section. Cigarettes, cigars, and vapes are all welcome. Do you know other airports that allow smoking? I travel a lot, and here are the ones I can vouch for:

LAS, McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA: Welcome to Sin City! Of course you can smoke here. It's difficult to miss how many places you can smoke, but here are a few: the "great hall" in Terminal D, above baggage claim in Terminal 1, and the lower E Gates in Terminal 3. In proper Sin City style, this includes access to alcohol and tempting slot machines.

ATL, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, GA, USA: From 2010 to 2015, the number of smoking restaurants and bars in Georgia has doubled (thanks again to lilivia91 for the tip). It's no surprise then that the ATL airport, the busiest in the world, has at least two smoking lounges in each concourse. If you want a drink to go with your smoke, then hit up the Heineken Bar & Grill in the center.

DEN, Denver International Airport, Denver, CO, USA: There is only one place to smoke inside at Denver International, but at least there is a place. Head to the Smokin’ Bear near the C Gates. There is a $5 USD drink purchase as a minimum entrance. You could easily run into me at this one, so be on the lookout.

CVG, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Hebron, KY, USA: Cincinnati residents can look across from downtown, right across the border and into Kentucky, and ask themselves, "Wait? Why is the airport in Kentucky?" No one knows. What I do know is that there is at least one place to smoke in CVG, and that's at the Graycliff Lounge near the B Gates. It is a newer addition, and a part of the trend of smoking sections making a return to airports.

BNA, Nashville International Airport, Nashville, TN, USA: I have not seen this one, but it comes from a good source. There is a store called Graycliff Cigar Company near the B and C Gates. If it exists, then there is smoking allowed, but I have no idea if it requires purchases or any other details. Much like the rumored smoking area in Tampa -- is it real? -- I wait to verify it myself.
